Clementine Mango Smoothie!
This Clementine Mango Smoothie is so simple and refreshing! The fresh clementine juice adds a fresh flavour and pairs perfectly with the mango and banana. I discovered this smoothie while trying to use up my abundance of clementines over the winter season. This smoothie is the perfect opportunity to enjoy fresh clementines over the winter and use up any extras you may have.
I love enjoying this smoothie as a quick and easy breakfast throughout winter. It’s packed with vitamins and minerals that are needed to keep your immune system strong during cold and flu season (or all year round!). The addition of hemp seeds add some healthy fats that keep you feeling fuller for longer. If you’re looking for even more of a healthy immune boost, you can add your favourite dark leafy greens and turn this into a citrus-mango green smoothie! I also like to add my favourite vanilla protein powder for some added protein, especially after workouts.
- ¾ cup fresh clementine juice (4 clementines) *
- 1 cup mango chunks, frozen
- ⅓ ripe banana, frozen **
- ½ tablespoon hemp hearts
- ¼ cup soy milk
- Freshly juice 4 clementines to produce approximately ¾ fresh clementine juice. Add fresh juice to a blender along with mango chunks, banana, hemp hearts, and soy milk.
- Blend until fully smoothe. Serve immediately.
** I peel and slice my ripe bananas into thirds, and then freeze them in a container for quick and easy use. This way I can easily grab chunks of frozen banana and add them to my smoothies.
